About

Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert presents a live orchestral rendition of the series' iconic soundtrack, paired with a two-hour special recap of the animated series' three seasons displayed on a full-size cinema screen. The projection will feature the original dialogue and sound effects without any pre-recorded music, allowing the live orchestra to perform the legendary score live and in perfect sync with the show's favorite scenes. The result? A truly immersive and grandiose concert experience that breathes new life into Avatar: The Last Airbender.

A Peabody and Emmy® Award-winning series, Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the adventures of the main protagonist Aang and his friends, who must defeat Fire Lord Ozai and end the Hundred-Year War to restore balance to the Four Nations. Taiko and erhu will share the spotlight with violins and clarinets, while the series' most beloved scenes play out on the big screen, bringing viewers into the Avatar world to experience the series' most memorable moments with Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Zuko and more.

The creative mastermind behind the show's original music, Emmy Award-winning composer and musician Jeremy Zuckerman, has poured his heart and exceptional talent into expanding his compositions for the concert series. Through creative collaboration with Jeff Adams (the show's original editor), this spectacular production magnifies the epic scope and high drama of the series and gives its audience the chance to experience the captivating world of Avatar: The Last Airbender through this live orchestra concert.

People getting to cheer and laugh alongside the visuals of the original animated show really sealed the deal. Just incredible musicians and an incredible score with great lighting design too! Hearing the cheers during Aang and Katara’s final kiss brought me to tears. I just love this show so much! Wish the selection had included more toph and the boiling rock episode! Such a great character and episode!

The musicians were fantastic, perfect synchronization with the the video portions of the performance. The show creates such a welcoming atmosphere for Avatar fans to join together and sing along. My daughter had so much fun and loved seeing all of the people who were into Avatar!

  • Fantastic experience for ATLA obsessed hearts

by Lex on 12/13/24North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

It was really incredible to be in a theater full of people who love ATLA just like me. We laughed, cheered and cried together. The passion the orchestra members showed for the show added to the atmosphere. Even after all the shows they’ve played, you could still see them react with joy when the crowd reacts to the show. I would happily go see it a couple more times. Maybe watch different musicians more intently. The only downfall is I did purchase the VIP experience, which I didn’t find worth the price. The best part of it is the VIP pass and skip the line options for merch/concession. I wish that the merch in the package had matched the price. Outside of that, the show again, I highly recommend.

Honestly was the best Orchestra show i've been to. Not only because ATLA was so nostalgic for me as a kid but because the musicians and vocalists were amazing. 10/10 show and would love to do it again if they come back to Charleston.

by Ford F on 12/10/24VBC Mark C Smith Concert Hall - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I became a musician due to my love of music, and seeing the underappreciated soundtrack to one of my favorite childhood shows live was an emotionally brilliant way to see my passions fused. Would see again.

  • Incredible show!

by Bryan on 12/3/24Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - RenoRating: 5 out of 5

I was in awe and my expectations were blown away. The immersive sound and the excitement that the host brings really sets the tone for the show. The timing of the orchestra with the scenes almost makes me forget there is a live orchestra and choir playing during the scenes. It's so immersive. Would definitely recommend to anyone, even if you're not an Avatar fan, the show is very entertaining. I can't wait for the Korra version to come out!

  • BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!

    by Laís R on 11/26/24Dolby Theatre - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I have always been a fan of Avatar animation but I have a special relationship with the last air bender so I could not miss. This animation basically raised me and build my foundations and character as a human being. It was sweet and heartwarming. My inner child was having a blast and I could not stop crying. I love the diversity in the orchestra and how the vocals and percussion was impeccable. I also loved that it was a maestra conducting the orchestra. SO BRILLIANT. I got the VIP experience and we got some goodie bag with also VIP queue for merchant. My partner also loved and he is so happy that I introduce ATLA for him. Don’t miss if you can. It is an unforgettable experience.

  • Awesome, but…

by JasePause on 11/24/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

A fantastic production! My only wish is that there was a better spot for an (earlier) intermission. The break is much closer to the end, so if they don’t start on time, it can be 1 hour 45 minutes for a bio-break.
