PETER HOOK AND THE LIGHT IN CONCERT:
Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook carries on the legacy of those legendary bands in 2014 with the Light, thrilling fans with end-to-end performances of seminal albums from their collective discography. Whether tearing through New Order's Power, Corruption, and Lies or ruminating on Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures, Hook and the Light are never short on energy, sating fans with epic three hour sets of classics like "Age of Consent" and "Love Will Tear Us Apart." The band impressed even the staunchest New Order loyalists on tour in 2013, building excitement for another round of North American dates in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Manchester, England, Peter Hook formed Joy Division with Bernard Sumner in the late '70s after the two were inspired by the anyone-can-do-it ethos of a Sex Pistols concert they attended. After several epochal post-punk releases, frontman Ian Singer committed suicide, leaving the rest of the band to press on as New Order. With former guitarist/keyboardist Sumner assuming vocal duties under the new moniker, New Order made their album debut in 1981 with Movement, breaking from the gravity of their previous work with buoyant tracks like "Dreams Never End." 1983 follow-up Power, Corruption & Lies really broke the mold, exploring a fusion of rock and early techno that brought them international fame and influenced much of the decade's ensuing music. In 2010, Hook put together the Light, continuing to thrill fans with end-to-end performances of classic albums from the Joy Division/New Order discography.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Peter Hook is the man!! He still has not slowed down at his age, three hour show and it was amazing!"
"... I knew that they would be playing two of New Order's albums: Power, Corruption and Lies and Movement, but the big surprise came when they opened up w/ a set from Joy Division, it was so awesome!"

Peter Hook and The Light put on one of the best performances that I’ve ever experienced! Peter Hook & The Light And, the venue, The Pageant, was an amazing venue!
There’s an energy behind these songs that bring a refreshed vibrant power to the already iconic sounds.
Peter Hook and the Light were fantastic! I really hope they come back to St. Louis again.
The show was the best but $30 for parking is a rip off!
Hooky and the guys never disappoint! They played the New Order album “Get Ready” better than the actual album! Plus a bunch of Joy Division & New Order songs. Some of my most favorite music in the world!!!
I've been to several Peter Hook & The Light shows over the past 10 years, and it's always amazing. Peter Hook was such an integral part of Joy Division and New Order's sound, and he really brings the songs to life and does them a lot of justice. The fact that he cares enough to do this for the fans really says a lot, and you can see his passion and love for the material he performs. If you have the opportunity to catch him on tour, don't miss out!
The show was excellent, Hooky really is one of the great bassists ever. The band was extremely tight and played 30 songs in total. It was great to hear so many New Order and Joy Division hits. Peter looks like he's having the time of his life . I'm so glad that he chose to come to my town. Excellent show!
Great mix of new order and joy division with the unmatched energy of a live show. some of the songs themselves sounded even better than the recordings!
Not worth seeing, musicianship was average, songs just droned on and on. Hook get his clothes from a thrift store? The venue itself has terrible sound system. Scratch off Roxian for any future shows.
