Originating from Gainesville, FL, Sister Hazel is comprised of five gifted, seasoned musicians whose well-spring of natural talent has been called "one of the Top 100 Most Influential Independent Performers of the last 15 years" by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Song "All for You" topped the adult alternative charts during the summer of 1997 and the success propelled their album to platinum status.
In their first showing on the country music charts they made a strong debut with "Lighter In The Dark" at #4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, #6 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart, #30 on Billboard's Top Current Albums chart.
The band landed on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart again in 2018 and 2019 with Volumes I, II, III, and IV of a clever EP compilation series titled "Elements." In February 2018, "Water," landed on the Billboard Country Albums chart at #9 and at #2 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart along with making their debut on the most revered stage in country music, the Grand Ole Opry. In September of 2018, "Wind" landed at #1 on iTunes country page and #11 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart. In February 2019, Vol. III "Fire" landed at #5 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart and #46 Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. The collectible compilation series ended with "Earth" which again landed at on the charts at #15 on Billboard's Americana/Folk Album chart.
Living up to their fan-centered reputation, the band hosts annual events like "Hazelnut Hang," that focuses on fan involvement and was a pioneer in themed cruise experiences by co-founding "The Rock Boat," a cruise featuring nonstop opportunities for fan/artist interaction. Sister Hazel has been equally attentive to connecting with their audience through social media. They have since made their Grand Ole Opry debut and shared the stages with country music superstars at The CMA Festival, Tortuga Music Festival, among others. In addition to the events and touring, the band also gives back with "Lyrics For Life." Founded by singer Ken Block and the Band, the charity unites musicians and celebrities for concerts and auctions to benefit cancer research and patient-care charities.

Sister Hazel should stop touring. He can’t sing anymore and I left early. First time I have ever left a concert before it was over. Very dissatisfied and think he should not charge money to sing like that. He should have stopped when he was still good.
Good musicians bad vocals. Left early. Pryor Baird show prior to Sister Hazel was outstanding.
So happy to be able to see Sister Hazel in Knoxville! We moved up from Florida a few years ago and have missed seeing them. A Sister Hazel concert is always a good time! Fun! Entertaining! Great Music! Love these guys! The Bijou is a great venue to see them in! Hope they come back soon!
Wow, I never thought I would write a review like this from a band that I have seen several times and really enjoyed in the past. Sister Hazel was really unimpressive, lead singer acted like he called it in. And for some reason, I think his voice is gone. We left after the first four songs and people around us were leaving as well. Sometimes it’s time to hang it up and celebrate a wonderful career. I think this was their time.
For a band with decades of playing experience, this was truly awful. A garage jam band sounded better and more in tune. Wow, left after about 30 minutes. Glad the opener was entertaining and enjoyable to listen to or else the entire event would have been a colossal bust.
Seats were fantastic. Venue is small and compact—usually good for shows. Sound quality was poor for Sister Hazel—could NOT understand main vocalist at all, talking or singing. Opening act was terrific but never could catch his name.
I’ve loved this band for as long as I can remember. I’ve seen them twice before, albeit many years ago. The band is still strong, except for lead singer Ken Block. Not sure what is going on with him, but his appearance and performance were shocking. He needs some help and they need to get off the road until that time. I wish them the best, but it’s not fair to fans who pay good money for a show, babysitter, and a night out, only to find that the singer can’t sing. I’m still a big fan, but this is really sad to see.

Small venue small crowd. Don’t know if the sound tech was to blame but couldn’t understand the vocals. Good band but this was a bad experience.
Sister Hazel was great! They sang great but were also very entertaining and funny! The venue was great! Easy ticket access and the venue was comfortable! The staff were very friendly and helpful!
What I enjoy most about Sister Hazel how they support each other and are thrilled with each other’s abilities and talents. You can tell that each band member is there bc they truly love what they do and each other. I just ordered tickets to see them in September and can’t wait!
I love Sister Hazel and have many of their cds it was the reason for wanting to see them live. However they played more cover songs than their own including Tom Petty, The Allman brothers, The Killers, Prince, just to name a few. If I had wanted to see and hear a cover-band I would not have paid this much for tickets. I really wanted to hear originals. Sorry guys.
I’ve seen Sister Hazel many times and this was one of their best performances. They have a great connection with the fans and did not fail in entertaining the audience. Great show guys.
Sister Hazel came out fired up and full of energy for their show at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. I am pretty sure the show was added late and under advertised but many faithful Halzelnuts filed in. Ken Block was in a mood and sang the entire opening song from a wireless mike totally immersed in the crowd. They kept their energy high for the entire show and always performed like they were playing to a packed house. The did a couple of splendid cover renditions including the Prince Song Lets Go Crazy. Even though the crowd was sparse they came back to the stage to do a three song encore, letting all of the attendees to leave the arena feeling satisfied. I guess Ken Block had not had enough performing and interacted with crowd members beside the tour bus, including my wife and myself. All and all it was a very satisfying concert and I heard all of my favorites by Sister Hazel except one. I discused that with Ken Block and he said he loved the song that the band had not performed !!!
Great sound and appreciation for their fans. I recommend seeing them play before they retire.
Sister Hazel was fantastic as they always are. If you aren't familiar with the band, give them a try. You might become a Hazelnut.
I was excited to see the band for the first time in years, but sadly they don’t have it anymore. Venue was great.

I’ve been going to see the band since 1993. Amazing talant so devoted to their fans. Ken has a book (if you didn’t know) “change your mind” I bought several copies for my family and one for me (I lost a daughter in 1998 and it helped me with my grief- check it out!) Consistently great at every show!
