  • It was awesome!

by Heather on 1/5/25Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 5 out of 5

Buy tickets online. By the time the doors opened all tickets were sold out so folks without tickets had to leave. The rink is huge and well maintained. Seating is a bit weird and people block the entrance but the skating was so much fun! Definitely worth it for 75 minutes of uninterrupted skating. Absolutely recommend!

  • That’s silly price expensive

by Not tell you of name on 1/1/25Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 2 out of 5

I think the ice skating at Lafayette is better priced than at Raising Cane’s River Center. The pricing at Raising Cane’s feels overly expensive, especially considering it’s limited to just 75 minutes. It doesn’t seem reasonable. This was our first time visiting Raising Cane’s River Center for ice skating, but we won’t be going back due to the high ticket price and time limit.

  • So much fun!

I had a wonderful time at this event, the time went by so quick. I wish I could’ve stayed way longer. 10/10 experience and I’m trying to go back before it ends!

  • Fun event, terrible skates

by JDixon on 12/27/24Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 2 out of 5

We take our family skating on the river every winter. It's become a tradition! The set up is easy to understand and the organizer makes sure everyone knows and follows the rules for safe skating. However, the skates are terrible. Some are cracked. They stink terribly. I was given a pair that was soaking wet on the inside. Sweat?? Lysol?? No idea. This year ingress and egress were more difficult because the arena is set up for the hockey team.

  • HORRIBLE

by Kassie P on 12/25/24Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 1 out of 5

We arrived on time. We waited in line for 40 minutes to get in and this means we lost 40 minutes on the ice! It was unorganized and just a mess all around.

  • Great ice. Skates were not so great.

by Skater on 12/21/24Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 4 out of 5

The ice was great, but I just put up with very dull skate blades because I was mostly just helping a young skater for the session. If a new skater would have had my skates, they would have been put at a big disadvantage in learning to skate. Also - one of my skates had no plastic caps on the lace ends which made it quite difficult to lace them up. Better skates will lead to more satisfied skaters, which will lead to more repeat customers!!

  • Not horrible but not great

by Dawn on 1/2/24Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 2 out of 5

The actual skating wasn’t a problem it was actually fun. The few problems I actually had were with the checking in and getting the skates. If you show up 5 mins after it starts, don’t expect to receive the size skates that you need. Maybe the other problem I ran into was because I didn’t use common sense, but I’ve never been to something like this and been told my purse was too big. I have a medium/small purse and they said it was too big so I had to walk all the way to my car and back. Over all the customer service could have been better as well as the bag policies.

  • Ice was fun, but short lived.

by Ethan on 1/1/24Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 2 out of 5

The tickets said from 2-4. Everyone was told to get off the ice at 315 and turn in their skates. 45 minutes early. We drove a long way for my daughters to skate, and man they were pissed.

  • Come for the skating, go broke at the concession stand

by Kaya Lizzie on 1/1/24Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 5 out of 5

The skating itself is great, it’s a fair price for the amount of time to skate. However, the prices at the concession stand are ridiculously expensive. Having a nearby water fountain would have come in handy.

  • Almost perfect

by Mel on 12/26/23Raising Canes River Center Arena - Baton RougeRating: 4 out of 5

Ice skating is a yearly tradition and we love it. The one thing I love wish they could improve is the process of getting skates. We spent over 30mins in line for skates which takes away almost all of the actual skating time.
