The Beach Boys Concert Schedule

As vanguards of the California surf rock sound belting out beach-themed, summertime lyrics backed by harmonized vocals, the Beach Boys personify surf culture, popularizing it worldwide. This garbage band-turned-pop legends are influences for derivative rock music, such as punk rock and garage rock, and musical artists and groups, including Paul McCartney and R.E.M. The Beach Boys North American tour of 2017-2018 features music from the group's compilation album, 1967 - Sunshine Tomorrow, which was released in June 2017. This album includes unreleased songs and live recordings, including "Wild Honey" and "California"-- a Billboard chart-topping rock 'n' roll hit. Expect to hear other tour music from this musical group's other popular albums, including Pet Sounds, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!), Surfin' U.S.A. , and All Summer Long. Some of the group's previous tours are the 2012 50th Reunion Tour, and 2016 Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour. The Beach Boys live concert experience involves listening to the glossy vocal harmonizing in the signature California rock tunes the group is known for alongside a live band playing the relaxing, psychedelic sounds from hits such as "Surfin' U.S.A." and "Barbara Ann." The Beach Boys' accolades stretch decades, including multiple Grammy Award nominations for "Good Vibrations" in 1967, a 1989 Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "Kokomo," a 2001 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and Hall of Fame inductions in 1994 for "Good Vibrations" and in 2017 for "I Get Around." Check out The Beach Boys concert tour dates to see this classic American rock 'n' roll group live.

The Beach Boys Background

Hailing from the Southern California city of Hawthorne, The Beach Boys got their start in the early 1960s as teens in a garage band when the founders and original members, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Mike Love, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, began singing psychedelic tunes encouraged by the Wilson brothers' parents to perform music. The Beach Boys draw their cultural and musical influences from their Southern California teen beach life and R&B and rock 'n' roll legends, including Chuck Berry and Johnny Otis. Later joined by members David Marks and Bruce Johnston, The Beach Boys continued to influence the public sphere as innovators of the California rock music genre.

  • Mandalay Bay Concert

by aliciamtp on 7/12/09Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most extraordinary concerts I've ever been to. The night was a magical one. The stage at Mandalay Bay couldn't have been a better setting for the concert. The night was balmy, the music unforgettable and everyone just had an awesome time dancing in the water to such nostalgic music. I wish I had been there with a sweetheart or something because it was so romantic. The night, the music and the couples dancing in the water cast a spell. To top it off John Stamos was there playing!

  • Beach Boys Still Have It

by roadapple on 7/12/09Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

This was the first time I have ever seen them live and have admit they were great. They started out playing their 1st song and continued into the next one, and then the next one and so on for at least 30 - 45 minutes, after a few words to the audience, it was back to continous playing. The show was very well done for all age groups. I have recomended this show to a few others that haven't seen them or has been a while. It's worth your time to see them. Another nice thing was they don't get all pissy if your taking pictures, they like it.

  • Excellent memories...especially John Stamos!!

Great music with a great atmosphere. I loved the addition of John Stamos to the band.

  • An experience of a lifetime!

by worldtraveller81 on 7/12/09Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The venue (Mandalay Beach) was the perfect place to see the Beach Boys. It was open seating and you could also wade in the water up to the stage for a closer view. The music was fantastic with only two of the original Beach Boys still in the group, but John Stamos (Uncle Jesse) from Full House made a guest appearance and stole the show. He did everything from lead vocals to guitar to drums and was amazing!

  • Beach Boys still have the goods!

by LV06 on 7/12/09Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

It's hard to believe that the remnants of what was once "America's Band" can still thrill and excite a crowd. It is strange seeing the Boys without any Wilsons in the group, but Mike Love and Bruce Johnston have augmented the lineup with a great supporting crew who obviously enjoy and revere the legendary music created by Brian Wilson. I have seen the Beach Boys many times, going back to 1978 when all original members were present. This time, they surprised by shaking up the setlist (not starting with California Girls, for example) and played an amazing show, including some rare songs not usually heard live. And even then they included everything a true fan would expect to hear. It was a fabulous evening and worth it at twice the price. Thank you to Mike and Bruce for continuing to keep the Beach Boys music alive in concert.

  • beach boys on the beach

Great show and as always did all hits, John Stamos is such a great asset to the guys.

  • At the beach with the Beach Boys

by thorroth on 7/12/09Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

A wonderfull concert in a wonderful location. Beach Boys at Mandalay Bay Pool in Las Vegas. Only directly at the ocean can be a better location for this band with so many hits. Keep on surfin!

  • they're getting OLD!!!!!!!!!!!

by Bob1082 on 7/12/09The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 3 out of 5

Odd set list, unenthusiastic performance results in an average rating at best. Not anywhere close to what you would experience when all the original band members were on stage.

  • Great show

by Friend on 7/11/09Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen the Beach Boys before at the Civic Center in Peoria, Il. They were better this time. I feel the theater setting was better for them than the arena was in the past years. The sound was definately better. We had box seats and were able to enjoy the concert with lots of leg room and comfort. It was really different just seeing the group and no opening act. I hope to see them again if they come back to Peoria next year.

  • The Beach Boys, still Beachy after all these years

    by Oldtimer2 on 7/11/09Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

The was the fourth Beach Boys concert that I have attended in the past 30 years, even though many of the band members have changed, they still get the entire crowd rocking!

  • The Beach Boys were "fun fun fun"

by cotagirl on 7/11/09Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

Being in the theater there was no such thing as a bad seat. We were in the first balcony and had a great view. Before the concert started they had beach balls being tossed around distracting the audience from yelling and chanting. They made sure that we had a great mix of old favorites and newer material. in all a great concert.

  • The Beach Boys were fantastic

    by brash124 on 7/11/09Peoria Civic Center - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

This was actually my second time seeing the beach boys in concert at the Peoria Civic Center. The first time I took my 11 yrs old son he loved the Beach Boys and an exchange student that we had from Chile as well he greatlly enjoyed the show. This time around was just as much of a treat to see them in concert. It was myself (42) my husband (39), exchange student from Germany (16) a friend (45) and her daughter (8). Everyone enjoyed the show, I was able to get my friends daughter up by the stage and she was sooooo excited when they waved and blew her a kiss she still talks about it.

  • Still Great After All These Years!!!!

This concert was one of the best I have attended in years. These guys have the same sound as the Beach Boys of old. The backup singers were awesome.

The Beach Boys concert at the Peoria Civic Center was fantastic. I had never seen them live and was anxious to see them. The music was great and reminded me of my younger years. They still have it. I think everyone at the concert felt the same.

  • beach boys was great

by jocko on 7/11/09The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was very good, I enjoyed the music and enjoyed watching the people around me they were moving to the music. I noticed that a lot of women were moving around a lot, encluding my wife. I also enjoyed the audiance participation to some of the songs. I think that there should be a video of the concert that we could purchase for the people at the concert. If you would like to send me one for evaluation I would appreciate it.
