About

Allen Stone is an R&B / soul singer from Chewelah, WA. The son of the pastor of the local church, he was immersed in gospel from an early age until he found funk and soul as a teenager through Stevie Wonder’s Innversions. Billboard has praised his “disarmingly soulful vocals” and WXPN says "his energetic shows, plus his warm and evocative albums, explain why Stone has such a solid fan base". Allen released his 3rd studio album in 2019 called Building Balance that includes hit songs Brown Eyed Lover, Sunny Days, and Consider Me. Building Balance is a textured amalgam of R&B and soul, which saw Stone draw inspiration from ‘70s funk and punctuate his music with modern pop flourishes. His latest release, a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love”, is the first song off his upcoming acoustic album APART, due to releases Nov 12th. “This album was a way to pay homage to the songs that have been my foundational support for the last decade, and to also pay homage to all the people who’ve loved these songs over the years,” says Stone. He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as the Special Olympics opening ceremony, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and has been a guest mentor on American Idol.

One of the best, if not the best concert that I have been to. Just a fantastic mix of heart and musicianship. The venue was intimate and Allen made the most of it by drawing us in to share his gift. Awesome night!

Allen Stone and his crew are remarkable. His energy and appreciation for music and life sharing that through his songs and voices and instruments are most powerful and moving. Loved Allen Stone and his team and then got to see them again at Bottlerock 2025.

Allen Stone and his band were amazing. I was so happy I made the effort to see him. I’m a forever fan now. Also, so pleasantly surprised by the venue The Bellwether. That place was perfect to see Allen Stone intimate but roomy with levels and really good food. It was a great night out in LA.

by Chelsea on 10/7/24Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Allen Stone loves what he does! You can tell that he doesn’t just come on stage and go through the motions he puts his heart soul and funk into it! I hadn’t heard of Little Dume before but as an opener they were good. Definitely added them to the playlist as well! Such good vibes and a great outdoor venue!

  • All Ways Amazing Allen

by DADaniels on 10/5/24The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Allen is certainly amazing in all ways...voice, showmanship, a great catalog, his backup band including some great backup singers...and, PRESENCE. I have had the opportunity to see Mr. Stone both as an opening act and as a headliner, all total, at least seven times. And, one thing that I have experienced is that he has truly matured as an artist...cool revisions of his fan favorite songs and outstanding selections for covers...and, many times, especially when he's the headliner...bringing out fabulous musician friends to showcase their talents. But, one thing hasn't changed...his relationship with the audience. He, still, loves to chat, loves to talk up the positivity of the live performance and the love that is shared by the audience and his self and his band...It is the mixture that perpetuates the positivity of his concerts and his fans. BTW's I, also, appreciate his pacing...he starts strong and keeps it up until he sees that the audience is his...IT is a relationship that he treasures and it shows. Thanks, Allen, for the many moments of happiness during your concerts...
