About

Dave Chappelle Live Performance and Tour

Dave Chappelle, mastermind behind sketch comedy goldmine Chappelle's Show, made a triumphant return to stand-up comedy in 2013. While he's beloved for his famous impersonations of Rick James and Prince, Chappelle doesn't rely on old material for his stand-up act, treating fans to an all-original show featuring extensive improvisation as he interacts with audiences. At his 2013 performances on The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, which he co-headlined with Flight of the Conchords, Chappelle had fans rolling on the floor, building anticipation for his highly coveted 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT

Born David Khari Webber Chappelle in Washington, D.C., Dave Chappelle studied theatre arts in high school before moving to New York City to pursue standup comedy. Despite getting booed off stage at the Apollo Theater's infamous "Amateur Night," he remained resilient, going on to make a name for himself on the New York comedy circuit. Following several successful film appearances in the '90s, including a starring role in 1998 cult classic Half Baked, Chappelle debuted his namesake sketch comedy show on Comedy Central in 2003, finding both critical and commercial success. In 2006 he released Dave Chappelle's Block Party, a concert film set in Brooklyn featuring performances by Kanye West, The Roots, and a temporarily-reunited Fugees.

  • Beautiful experience always!

    by Nick P on 4/18/25Rating: 5 out of 5

This is my third trip to the firehouse and all have been phenomenal. The staff are so professional and friendly, everyone was so patient with my losing of the keys to return items not allowed inside. Anyways, once it all problems disappeared. Great view anywhere in the bldg. Chappelle was chipping it up like we were guests in his home. Dont go so I have a better chance of grabbing more tickets!

  • Top Notch customer service

First of all, I felt more safe going into a Dave Chappelle show than any other security screening, EVER. But more importantly the staff running all the security before going into the theater, each one was AMAZING--PATIENT--KIND. I've never been through a security line that was as thorough as they were, the bonus is they were so KIND--it was like they appreciated and loved their jobs! It was a long time to stand at the show, I came for the comedy--I'm not a huge rap fan (I'm old), but overall it was a great experience (minus the obnoxious drunk girl).

YS Firehouse Dave Chappelle has created from his own mind, heart, and great giving of personal resource, an entire culture of genuine Kindness and Love, in a small town called Yellow Springs, Ohio. YS Firehouse is the pinnacle of intimate comedy and music experiences. The reserved capacity and World class entertainment makes every show feel special in a way that can’t be replicated. The staff are the highest level of professionals, who make you feel secure, safe, and welcome in every way imaginable. If I told you what happened, you wouldn’t believe me. YS Firehouse stories will almost always be an oral tradition. No phones, cameras, smart devices, or electronics allowed. I promise, you will be grateful that the experience is presented in this format. - - Haitian Appreciation Day - - Dave brought Wyclef Jean to YS Firehouse in support of local Haitian community members of Ohio who were bullied in defamation publicly nationwide. The night was inexplicably incredible to be succinct. The joy shared, was immense and beautifully organic. Comedy in 3 different languages. Dave told great jokes and shared personal stories. Nearly every person danced for almost 3 hours to Wyclef performing and enriching us with beautiful Haitian culture. Everyone left with renewed Love for one another. This was truly, an historic night in music history that occurred. Forever Grateful for you Dave. 🌴🛬🛫🌴

  • Core memories made as YS Firehouse

by Pfoster on 4/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I was able to secure tix 2 days prior and drove 8 hours with my son and his wife . I knew it would be amazing but truly one of the best nights of my life. We went to Wyclef and the energy and love was electric. We danced all night and it was all love for everyone in the room. To see Dave’s smile as he danced on stage and looked out into the audience was so cool to see. Like a proud parent that he created this space . We will definitely be back to YS Firehouse and make a long weekend out of it next time.

  • Bringing culture to Ohio

by Diana G on 4/1/25YS Firehouse - Yellow SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

The YS Firehouse is amazing. Dave has really put everything into this club. Saw him on 3/29/25 and it was not my first Chappelle show but it was either the top 1 or 2 of 6 times I have seen him. What a fabulous time, I laughed so hard I lost my voice. And the ventilation is great in there - since Dave smokes on stage. Just moving to Cbus Ohio, after spending a lifetime outside the greater NYC area, was a real bummer. Dave’s club has made me finally excited about somethibg in Ohio. He is the best and all the acts were AMAZING. One note: if you need to bring in medication, make sure you get a medical bracelet at the check-in desk, security is tight and they will make you check any small bags that are filled with too many items, then you have to stand in line again to get rewanded by security. It’s fine but just so you know if you have diabetes or another medical issue that needs medication asap. Enjoy the show, it’s the greatest time.
