Enslaved concert

This concert was utterly fantastic! This Enslaved show was better than the when I saw them in Oslo, Norway. Or perhaps it was the energy of the crowd (did not expect moshing and crowd surfing) and/or the coziness of the venue that allowed the fans to be closer to the band. Whatever - they put on a GREAT show! Bonus? I was close enough to get one of Grutle's bass pics/picks and a set list. SCORE!
The band was great. Period. Awesome visuals. Every song was tight down to the note. What REALLY stood out to me was the QUALITY of the sound. Enslaved are literally the best sounding band I have ever heard live and I've seen hundreds of live shows in all sorts of venues. Hands down, Enslaved sounded the best. I was standing next to their dedicated sound guy with his dedicated mixer labelled "Enslaved" during the whole performance and this guy was working as hard as they were on stage. I really appreciate a band that gives a darn about their fans to put forth this level of effort to nail their performance. Can't miss experience.
A great show from both bands. I wish they could have played longer, the one-hour setlist from both was too short. The venue is nice. There was some early music feedback, but that was corrected and it was great from there on. Looking forward to the Avatar show in May. Cheers!
Enslaved & Insomnium were both great. Good sound. I would have liked if Enslaved played a bit longer. The set seemed short. At least a few more songs would have been nice. But overall, damn good. First time at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall. Small place, but it was perfect for a Wednesday night with two bands that aren't huge names. Not too many people. We had upgraded seats in the balcony, front row, so the view was perfect. Couldn't ask for better. I'm a big Enslaved fan and I hadn't seen them in a long time, so this was fantastic.
All bands played tight sets, great crowd, great venue
The opening bands were talented, the crowd was actually respectful and the pit was super aggressive but kind. Enslaved was epic.
Each band was fantastic and performed their hearts out. The venue was absolutely beautiful and plenty of drinks were available, although they were marked up quite a bit, as are most other places. The only downside was that the venue did not allow reentry, which is a bit ridiculous for a four hour show. I started having anxiety at one point, and wanted to get some fresh air but was told I would not be allowed back in. Overall, it was a great experience!
I love this venue so much. I have never had a bad experience here up to date. I love how they bring some of the best metal bands out there. It was nice to get to see Enslaved live at your venue. The sound was out of this world, I loved every minute of if. Please keep bringing more international bands like them. <3
Enslaved delivered a good show but, imho, missed some great songs played in previous tours like River’s Mouth, Isa and Runn just to name some. Setlist seemed to me to be more progressive and directed to a musically educated audience, something is missing in it. Insomnium was the first time I saw them live and it felt like they made a different kind of bond that night with the audience, I know the genre helps them to do that but they were so good they seemed the headliner. Black Anvil was a great opener, NYC go F yourself attitude, loved them.
