About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

  • Better than the original

Kelly Hansen is a perfect singer for those great songs. Band was really having fun up there. Only complaint is show was only 1 1/2 hours for way too much cost.

Foreigner is clearly still able to rock the house!! Very high energy show! Great band chemistry. Nicely done.

Great to hear all the "old songs. Brought back memories. Would have been nice to hear more than one song from their new material. Concert was way, way too short at 1 hour and 15 minutes! That was very disappointing.

Foreigner was great, Kelly took over the lead singing for Lou Gramm in a great fashion with more energy than Lou showed on stage. Great solos by the individual members of the band and they got the older crowd involved with all the great songs from the 8o's.

by Desertjet on 3/3/12Desert Diamond Casino - SahuaritaRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most awesome shows ever - they kept the music going and the words to the music could all be understood which is rare with today's music. This show should be rated No. 1.

The band played for an hour, and then said "Goodnight." It wasn't until they audience applauded for several minutes that they came back and played another 1/2 hr. I'm sure if Mick Jones and Lou Graham had been there, they would have seen an audience full of loyal fans, rather than an audience of baby boomers like this new version of Foreigner did. I did enjoy the acoustic versions of some of the songs they performed.

I don't know what world I had been living in but I was unaware of this group. Sure I heard their songs through the years and loved a few of the 'hits'. I so enjoyed watching them in person. Kelly is great to watch and listen to. They are all very talented. Great show, Very entertaining. The audience loved them. I give them 10 stars and will purchase some of their cds.

  • Foreigner rocked Effingham!!!!!!!!!!

    by mrgitters84 on 3/1/12EPC Center - EffinghamRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner rocked Effingham's EPC on Friday, Feb 24. They played a solid 90 minute set filled with almost all the classic hits as well as the title track from their most recent studio album, Can't Slow Down. Double Vision, Head Games, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Blue Morning, Cold as Ice, Urgent, Juke Box Hero, Feels Like the First Time, I Want to Know What Love Is, & Hot Blooded were all played, as well as a few others. Even, though the sole original member, Mick Jones was not present, Foreigner still put on a great show and I did not feel cheated by Mick's absence. Singer, Kelly Hanson & the rest of the band do justice to the Foreigner catalogue.

  • Foreigner in Cincinati Was Amazing

by bluecorvettemom on 2/29/12Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

As always Foreigner delivered! The light show was as good as the music! The boys of the band put everything into the vocals and instrumentals. The lead singer danced and sang until I thought he would faint from exhaustion. He even came out into the crowd and stood on seats and met the crowd! There is not a bad seat in the Taft Theatre and the whole crowd was on thier feet swaying and singing with the band. Lots of interaction with the crowd, drummer threw out drum sticks, had crowd clap for best performer in the band, etc.

There was not a bad seat anywhere in the theatre. The show in it's self was fantastic. Very little wait time for the doors to open. The music was at a great level. The overall feel was a welcoming one.

I enjoyed Foreigner at River Bend this summer in Cincinnati but, seeing them at the Taft Theatre was even better! We loved the smaller venue. As always - they rocked the house. We also bought the CD they had on sale at the concert - EXCELLENT! As a teacher I appreciate the band taking the time to give back to kids who are just starting or facing school and program cutbacks. Somewhere, in some city, they might be touching that next "Juke Box Hero," to coin a phrase.

  • Foreigner Rocked the Taft!

by Tebroc on 2/28/12Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner brought their best to the Taft! Every member of the band interacted with the audience throughout the show. They were having a great time and it came through in the music. Thank you Foreigner!

I had a great time. I was a little unsure about seeing a rock concert at the Taft Theatre but it was a good time. I would definitely go again.
