  • Great when warmed up.

by Dlaw on 7/5/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw Loverboy at The Show theater Agua Caliente Casino on 6/28. They were the headliners of the 80's show with The Smithereens and Vixen. Loverboy's lead singer Mike Reno needed a few songs to warm up before he and the band really kicked it into gear. They were fantastic! Sounded great for the rest of the night. The setlist was great but I wished they played ' Dangerous.' A great sing that needs to be back in the rotation. I would absolutely see them again.

  • Lovin' every minute of it

by Sean on 5/3/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 5 out of 5

Loverboy is such a great live band. Reno can still hit the notes which is amazing as he has always been one of the best vocalists of the 80s. We were wearing the same Loverboy t-shirt from last summer which was awesome that he noticed and we had a little conversation during the show. Our seats were right in front of Paul Dean who is such an underrated guitarist. Very nice of him to hand my wife a pick after the show. As Trooper opened it was pretty much a Canadian sing-along with both bands as they both have so many hits. Hot crowd, just wish that Loverboy would tour more in Canada, but they seem to be a favourite opening act for many top-notch bands who tour the States. I spent a premium to have front row seats, but they were worth every penny to see two qualities bands. My only disappointment was that the concert venue set-up allowed concert goers to walk in front of those of us in the front row to go to the bathroom and the bar. Not sure who thought this was a good idea, but when you pay a premium to have the best seats you would hope that your view would never be blocked or disrupted at all during a show.

  • Great time

by Linda P on 4/10/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Blast from the past, we had a great time Quiet Riot and Loverboy gave it their all. Thank you Rudy Sarzo and Mike Reno, we loved it. Good time, good seats, nice venue. However, the music was louder than the singer. Need to do a better sound check.

  • Return to 1983

by Rocker on 4/8/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 5 out of 5

I loved Trooper even though it was all replacements.... great time as the guys nailed it!! Loverboy was amazing..... Paul Dean was on fire with his guitar..... Matt was great on the drums..... everyone did a fantastic job making me feel like I was back in 1983!! The only set back is purchasing of beer/alcohol needs improvement..... other than that.... fantastic!! Loved the seating at the show too.... plenty of room for us more powerfully built folks.

  • true 80s band, very tight

by Bearbutt on 4/8/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 5 out of 5

Played their hits, i think even better than the originals. The band played Avery right set. The venue was an excellent choice. It looked like every seat was a good seat.

  • They are clearly aging as, we all are.

The opening act Trooper was still very good. All in all it was a good evening.

  • Great evening

Loverboy was energetic and sounded great, took me right back to the 80's

  • Music was amazing. The seating was very uncomfortable.

by Dorwin Vardy on 4/8/25The Arena at Pickering Casino Resort - PickeringRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the music very much. The Arena was nice, but unfortunately the seating has a toe kick rail behind seating in front of you. This made trying to change leg movements difficult. I called venue and was to get a call back to discuss accessible seating as I have to deal with chronic pain on a daily basis. They have not responded.

  • Loverboy

by Steve on 4/8/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Seen Loverboy at the Great Canadian Casino Theater recently. The band was awesome however the sound was awful. After taking this up with the property management, they pointed the finger at the bands sound engineer. Really? The place is a cavernous structure of concrete and steel. No attention to acoustic requirements. Presently, not a venue for music concerts.

  • Loverboy Great, Venue Not

by cat t on 4/7/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Recently went to see Loverboy at The Great Canadian Casino Toronto. This is the second concert I have been to there and I am still not impressed with the sound quality. Loverboy put on a great show but it's unfortunate that it was hampered by subpar sound. The next night they played at Casino Pickering, same company, so I went to see if the sound was any different there. Well let me tell you there is a huge difference. Keep this in mind if you have the choice to go to either venue, choose Pickering.
