Known as "The American Band", the high-energy five-piece group, Grand Funk Railroad, includes original founding members Don Brewer (vocals and drums) and Mel Schacher (bass), "The God of Thunder". Joining Don and Mel are true "All Stars." Singer Max Carl is a rock veteran from 38 Special. Max penned and sang 38's biggest hit "Second Chance." Lead guitarist Mark Chatfield is best known as a founding member of Ohio Rock Legends "THE GODZ" and also played with Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band for over three decades. Keyboardist Tim Cashion's credits include stints with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and English soul man Robert Palmer.
The band has toured the world, selling out in North and South America, Europe, and Japan. A 1971 performance at New York's Shea Stadium sold out faster than the Beatles. Grand Funk has had 19 charted singles, 8 Top 40 hits, two #1 singles, and has accumulated 7 gold and 10 platinum certifications.
At the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee. Don and Mel still provide the heartbeat of this classic band. With Max singing great and trading lead vocals with Don, they sound even better than when I saw them about a decade ago. High energy and extremely fun show!!

Going to see Grand Funk was absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time. Can't wait to see the Marshall Tucker band. Hopefully we will have the same great experience.

I saw Bachman Turner Overdrive 10 years ago at the same venue, and now an American Band (Grand Funk Railroad). You could not be the price, then you and the crowd provided a nice atmosphere.
I thought the concert was great but just when I was thinking that it was about time for an intermission, they announced that the concert was over. 1 hour and 15 minutes and not even an encore.
Don’t miss them! One of the original great rock bands sounding better than ever! Still singing their songs 3 days later.
It was everything and more. I waited a long time to finally see the greatest band still rocking. They were my first album and I am so glad Don and the men continue to bring joy to hearts of true fans that have stuck by them after all this time. It truly felt like I was in the 70’s again. Long Live “GRAND FUNK RAILROAD” Don still and always has been in great shape!! Thank You!!
It was outstanding, the guys worked hard to put on a show. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars for one reason only. (Only 1 hr. and 20 minutes long)
The band was amazing, I go to a lot of shows and these guys have absolutely not lost their voices like so many more, downside, they only played 1 hour 20 minutes.
