Pop-rock musician Phillip Phillips wowed “American Idol” fans and judges in season 11 with spot-on covers of iconic songs including Steve Wonder’s “Superstition”, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, and Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle”. Phillips’ scratchy vocals, reminiscent of his own idol Dave Matthews, are exemplified in his chart-topping debut single “Home” as well as sweet, mellow tracks like “So Easy”. His platinum-selling first album The World from the Side of the Moon includes the upbeat love song “Gone, Gone, Gone”, which is sure to be a wedding song for Phillips fans for years to come. The Georgia-born singer/songwriter wound up taking home the title of American Idol, but only after dealing with congenital kidney issues that landed him in the hospital for eight surgeries during the “Idol” season. Phillips recovered in time for the “American Idol LIVE Tour”, performing major-market concerts alongside the season’s nine other top contestants. The 46-city trek sold more than a quarter of a million tickets overall, placing it at No. 62 in the Top 200 North American tours of 2012.

Gotta love some Phillip Phillips. He really puts on an awesome show. So personal and what a down to earth stand up kind of guy. I love it just so humble. The venue was great also. I really don’t think Phillip knows really how good he actually is. Keep singing and I will keep supporting you!
Phillip Phillips & Band are great musicians and put on a fun show! Appreciated his authenticity.
Phillip Phillips is a very talented singer. I was disappointed in his performance at the Birchmere. First of all entire band sat entire time. Fans spend hard working money to see & hear his performance & couldn’t. Many of us sitting to the left & right of the stage didn’t see him at all!!! They only have to stand for 90 minutes & he’s34 year old, really, you can’t stand & interact with the audience? Very disappointing
As with his show two years ago at the Birchmere, I loved the acoustical sets, and he remains humble and connected with the audience.
His voice is amazing. He talked.to the crowd and told us the stories behind his songs. It was almost like a private show.
Loved every minute of it. super great venue totally awesome experience
amazing, just organic talent, just a voice and a microphone no more amazing, love phillip phillips pure energy
My husband and I recently attend the Phillip Phillips concert at the House of Blues in NOLA. We also purchased a meet and greet experience prior to the beginning of the concert. Our experience was fantastic. Phillip Phillips is such a kind and humble guy. He took requests for songs, answered questions, and posed with each guest for a photo opportunity!! The night continued with a phenomenal show. I love how unassuming Phillips is ~ add that to fantastic musical ability ~ and you will definitely be treated to an incredible night of great entertainment!!! Would definitely recommend and will also attend another concert when available close to where I live!!!!
Attending Phillip Phillips' concert was a uniquely enchanting experience, as the intimate setting fostered a deep connection between the artist and a small but fervent audience. The cozy ambiance of the venue transformed the performance into a shared celebration among true fans, where the artist's infectious energy permeated every note, creating an electric atmosphere. What set this concert apart was the perfect blend of humor, authenticity, and audience interaction. Phillip effortlessly weaved jokes and banter into the performance, establishing a sense of camaraderie with the crowd. The pinnacle of the night was the artist's genuine engagement, offering fans the chance for a handshake and a photo, turning a concert into an unforgettable, personal experience. This combination of musical brilliance, genuine connection, and humor made the evening an absolute triumph for those who value both the artistry and the intimate connection between performer and audience.
