Dad LOVES boxing & has never been to a "live"match, He had a good time, which means I did as well. More "popular"boxers would be appreciated. Tommy "Hit Man"Hearns was a row away from us. Wish I would have known this in advance so that my 89 y/o Dad could have had a chance to get a picture with him, would have meant the world to him!
It's veey frustrating that we purchase tickets that are expensive in the mix area and you see people walking around and sit in whatever available sit they find plus they misbehave after drinking and stand and disturb others and no security people check if people wandering around are looking for a chance to use empty spots. People will endup buying unexpensive tickets and do the same. Almost another fight in the public in from of the ring started, they should have taken out faster. . If the MIX Area the ticket cost a little bit more why don't a person is by the entrance of that area at least asking if they know if they know theur sits?
The boxing was amazing. But everything else left me with an annoying experience. So boxing was 10/10. But there's a bar inside so you have to deal with drunk people everywhere. Everyone getting up and standing up in front of you every 2 minutes. Not able to find their seats multiple times on the way back because theyre hammered. So they sit in other people's seats then have to move when they get back. Or standing and recording in your line of vision. In general you can't see over people's heads sitting down. You basically get stuck watching just the tvs so you can actually see what's going on. I'd go again for the boxing but would definitely have to get front row seats next time.
I had a good time all night at the fight until the event was almost over. Somebody got knocked down so me and my brothers started cheering and we almost beat up the boxers family. So they asked us to leave
We really had a great time at the fights. One particular fight was very entertaining. We will be back.
Absolutely loved it, 11 fights on the card the night I was there. Very competitive. Hats off to all who put it together. MotorCity Casino and Sound Board did an excellent job with hosting this event. The valet is awesome, easy in easy out. Plenty of space inside to navigate the bars and bathrooms. Definitely recommend for a great night out. I'll be back.
The event itself was great! The staff at motorcity soundboard not so great! The usher continued to stand in front of seating blocking the view to the event! Other staff stayed back in the tunnel area! She was asked multiple times by other employees to move so people could see!
Detroit needs a real boxing promoter, someone that will put on competitive fights not just use fighters to sell tickets. Salita brought great cards to Detroit. "CLIP"puts hometown fighters in one corner and hopeless fighters in the other for the most part. He might pay for one good opponent for an entire card.

Seen the sledge in action 12/30/22 went to the next event 2/25/23 and both was exciting. Great tickets and great time
