SKINNY LISTER IN CONCERT:

British folk outfit Skinny Lister is delighting audiences both at home and abroad with their mischievous, Celtic-influenced tunes and exciting live performances. The six-piece combines quick guitar strumming and accordion with thumping stand-up bass and harmonized vocals to create their free-spirited sound. Whether they're singing in perfect harmony on "Rollin' Over" or going back to their roots on "If The Gaff Don't Let Us Down", Skinny Lister are a passionate bunch that knows how to get the crowd dancing on their thrilling tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from England, Skinny Lister formed in 2009 after meeting in the London folk scene and jamming together. The following year they released two EPs that were unique in their recording process -- the Grand Union EP was recorded while floating down a canal in a boat, while the Homemade Tour EP was recorded at the homes of family and friends while the band was on tour. They followed up the records with several shows throughout the US, the UK, and Germany, earning thousands of new fans along the way. After attracting attention from execs at Side One Dummy, Skinny Lister signed a deal with the label and released their 2012 debut album Forge & Flagon to major critical acclaim. The band has shared the stage with Dropkick Murphy's and Boy George and is becoming well-known for their sprightly live shows and driving punk-meets-folk sound. Skinny Lister is a promising new act that keeps ticket buyers coming back for more after every performance.

    I first saw Skinny Lister by accident in Washington DC, and I was blown away by their live show. If you were ever in a town where they are playing, you should go. It is guaranteed you will have a good time. This show in Charleston was another great show.

    Came for Flogging Molly, left the newest #1 fan of Skinny Lister. Songs are fantastic and the whole crew is massively charismatic (accordions, who knew?!) If the music wasn't enough, I'd come back to see what Lorna is wearing, she was killing it in an amazing bodysuit & red pumps

    Show was fantastic, the band is so full of talent and energy. Every time they do John Kanaka everyone one in the crowd sings along at the top of their lungs. Always a highlight
