  • Amazing evening

by Mark Barnard on 4/1/25Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Another great show at the Mahaffey Theatre in St. Petersburg, FL. If you are a Tom Petty fan, this is a must see show. From the first song to the last it took me back in time. Will absolutely go and see the Broken Hearts again.

We enjoyed the show so much. The venue is very nice. I wish there were more snack options.

  • Sound needs improvement

by Brewguy on 3/13/24The Asylum at Masonic Temple - ClevelandRating: 3 out of 5

My first time at the venue. Didn’t realize it was pretty much standing only, some benches around the perimeter, but no real seating. They should make that clear on their website. Acoustics not the greatest either, nothing to absorb the sound. I think the Broken Hearts would have been better if they had the sound system tuned in properly. Instrumental amps were way too high, couldn’t really make out the vocals. Even when you could hear the vocals, the sound just wasn’t right. I thought the lead singer had a decent “Petty” voice, but again, hard to make it out. Instrumentals were good, just cranked up way too high. I won’t go to this venue again. Maybe better for the younger crowd that doesn’t mind standing.

  • Poor

by Mike on 3/12/24The Asylum at Masonic Temple - ClevelandRating: 2 out of 5

The venue was deceiving because online it looked like it was going to be in main auditorium with seating but it was in a room with no seating. When the main band came out the sound was all screwed up and the music was louder than the vocal and you really couldn’t hear it well at all and after about 4 songs it was obvious it wasn’t going to be corrected so we left.
