The band sounded tight and you could tell they were, for the most part, happy to be there. I’ve never been disappointed after a Dandy’s show and this time was no different. Dandys rule, ok?
First time in I’ve left a show disappointed. I’ve been a fan for more than 20 years and had never seen them live. Would not recommend.
Don't know much about acoustics, but they sounded amazing! Perhaps they're just THAT good. Fulfilled my Dandy dreams. Hopefully they come back again soon. The opening act Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor was also awesome. I loved the intimacy of the venue.
Couldn't hear the vocals. The guitarist was trying to fix his guitar throughout the whole show. No encore.
The 9:30 Club is a legendary venue for a reason and the Dandy's are an amazing band that put on an excellent show. $35 per ticket was a steal.
All of the performers, Queen Qwong, The Black Angels, and the Dandy Warhols were fun, enjoyable, danceable, great to listen to. It was a fun concert!
I’m big fan of the Dandy Warhol’s and they definitely played an amazing show on 10/14 at The Filmore! Both The Black Angels and Queen Qwong played very good sets opening for the Dandy Warhol’s as well!
Great sound and show. I thought it was odd about the upgrade to Upstairs for an additional $35 per ticket
My first Dandy’s show was at St Andrew’s. Since then, I’ve probably seen them ten times. While this wasn’t the worst Dandy’s gig I’ve ever seen (that would be their lifeless show in Brooklyn earlier this year) this one was damn close to the bottom of the list. While this show had a little more energy than Brooklyn, the whole effort appeared to be undermined by the band’s determination to play as quietly as possible (maybe to avoid competing with and therefore depleting CTT’s voice). I was in the balcony and on the floor and he was all but inaudible. Zia, as usual, was the energetic exception. I am grateful for the many memorable Dandy’s gigs I’ve seen over the years but after two train wrecks this year, I’m done. It might be time for them to be done, too.
