  • Most underrated band of the early 00s

by John on 12/9/24Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw this band twice, once with midtown, another great band, in a cramped starland ballroom in New Jersey, and then in the slightly similarly cramped but excellent underground arts venue in Philadelphia. Being someone born after their peak, I have no idea how they sounded live in 02, but those concerts were something special, they had an amazing energy both times. I love the movielife and it really feels like they love their fans.

  • The Movielife rocked like 2002

by TristanBrom on 7/13/15The Sinclair - CambridgeRating: 4 out of 5

Had a great time seeing The Movielife up close at the Sinclair in Cambridge. Though I hadn't seen them perform in 13 years, their performance and sound seemed exactly like it was in 2002...until one of the band members 5 year old daughter was coaxed out on stage to a round of cheering from the 30yr old plus crowd.

Great show - so glad these guys made a comeback! Hoping to see them again soon.

  • Amazing Show by a Band that will never b forgotten

by iamtheavalanche1 on 9/5/11Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say? Movielife decides to get together again for one "last" show.. and they do it in glorious fashion.. they played an unbelievable set and got Brand New to open up the show.. props to them for staying true to their roots.. I recently saw taking back sunday at the same venue and it was terrible.. the singer adm had no voice after 3 songs and screeched and cracked his way through the rest of the set.. movie life's frontman vinnie did a solid job from open to close of the set and seemed to go full speed, 100% every song.. the crowd was good and the music was amazing.. i hope they give us a few more "last" shows...

  • BEST Last Show

by RyanNC on 9/1/11Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I hate that this was the Movielife's last show but it was a great way to say farewell to one of Long Island's best! I felt like it was 2000 again when they were playing in their prime. It was really great to see the band back together for one last gig. What better venue to end in as well. I drove up from North Carolina to see them and it was well worth it. Farewell to a great band!

  • Best Good Bye

Although the sound wasn't the greatest, it was definitely an unforgettable show.

  • Movielife was Unforgettable!!!

by Thefuzz01 on 8/28/11Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first time I have been to the Best Buy Theater, but hopefully not the last. The venue was really fun, almost like a labyrinth to navigate. The floor is a decent size but they could have converted the seating area to more floor; who sits down anymore? The show itself was incredible. It is very sad that this was their last show but I am very glad I was able to be a part of it. One complaint is that the beer was a bit pricy, but c'est la vie!

The show went well, the venue was very nice. the only thing I would change about it would be more air circulation and more exits approved for leaving.

  • My high school self couldn't have been happier

by ZigIsAwesome on 8/28/11Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

When I heard these guys were reuniting for one final show I knew I couldn't miss it. Loved these guys in high school, and had the opportunity to catch them back in May at Bamboozle. The high schooler in me couldn't have been happier to see them, since I never got to back then. Such a good live show, so much energy, great crowd response, I really wish this wasn't the end.
