Really fun show!!
by Melanie on 9/17/24Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5I had a front row ticket with a VIP experience. Entry went smoothly, and we were treated to an acoustic version of Timber, a very personable and relaxed question and answer period followed by an acoustic version of Wildflower. Afterwards, we were able to get discounted merch and a signed poster. The merch line was slow, but we had plenty of time before the show started.
Seaslak opened with a great sound and great harmonies, and I really enjoyed their set.
The main opener, Elias Hix, was easy to listening, and a good set, as well.
The National Parks came out with lots of energy, and kept it up through the entire set. The harmonies were on point, as usual. All four band members really delivered. At one point, they did a few songs back on top of the sound booth, towards the back half of the venue, Chance and Time, two favorites. Everyone sang along.
The venue was clean, and the staff was nice. I do wish they would allow small point and shoot cameras in, though. It is one thing that causes me to reconsider when I attend shows there.
I was in Row 1, Section 3, seat 10. The view from that seat was good, but in the past, the seats on the far end of that row have had somewhat poor visibility. Seats 10 and 12 were great, though.
I definitely felt that the prices were kept reasonable and that I most certainly got my money's worth. Kudos to The National Parks for a great performance. I can't wait until next time.
