TIGERS JAW IN CONCERT:
Indie rockers Tigers Jaw create the kind of self-reflexive, distortion-heavy indie rock popularized by '90s bands like Pavement and Dinosaur Jr., but the result is never derivative. Tracks like 2014's "Nervous Kids" sound fresh and unburdened in the wake of the band's recent transition from five-piece band to two-piece duo, as frontman Ben Walsh insists "we're just nervous kids" over catchy guitar riffs. Their show may be stripped down, but it still packs plenty of punch and possesses an added layer of nuance that fans will certainly appreciate at the band's upcoming tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Hailing from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Tigers Jaw made their studio debut in 2006 with Belongs to the Dead, a decidedly pop punk album that was equal parts emotion and detachment. The album garnered positive reviews for its impressive guitar work and intricate vocal harmonies, setting the stage for extensive touring throughout the US. A self-titled album released in 2008 and a 2010 follow-up titled Two Worlds both fared similarly, bringing the band back on the road for additional tours and further expanding their fanbase. Following the departure of three members in 2013, frontman Ben Walsh and keyboard player Brianna Collins forged ahead as a duo, releasing Tigers Jaw's fourth album Charmer and hitting the road for a highly anticipated tour.

The bands were all incredible, some of the best sets I've ever seen. It was my first time seeing heart attack man and glitterer and my second time seeing Tiger's Jaw. The staff gave me no problems bringing in my copy of Just Dance 2015 for the Wii, so I have no gripes with the staff or the venue overall. They even showed the phils game at the bar.
The venue was awesome and the bodyguards in the front of the stage did a great job taking care of everyone that crowdsurfed. The sound quality was perfect for the Sidekicks and Cave People, but I was not able to hear the vocals from Tigers Jaw very well. Otherwise, loved it all!
Unforgettable show. This band is unlike most others in that it's obvious that they are very passionate about the music they produce and it shows in the quality of music they make. It gets you going and allows you to think about what's being said at the same time, mixed with incredible stage energy. I've been going to concerts my whole life, and this is one of the best bands I've ever witnessed. They have a unique quality of sound that is unrivaled.
Awesome show tigers jaw is really one band who consistently amazes. If you have the chance to take on one of their shows, I highly recommend it!
amazing band, amazing price, great set list, not overly packed
Tigers Jaw continuously amazes me with their shows. They always sound incredible. They are the most pleasant and kind band you will ever meet. I've never caught them in a bad mood. The crowd is NUTS and it only makes it better. Being in a sea of passionate people screaming the words to your favorite songs with the band smiling back at you is the best feeling in the world. I see Tigers Jaw EVERY time they come to Ohio and I miss them every day they arent here.
Tigers Jaw is one of my favorites bands which I will continue to see until they stop touring. I've seen them 6 times and counting, twice at Williamsburg. The show and setlist were amazing. They played every song you would want to hear and the crowd showed great energy. I always love when they play Nervous Kids, I Saw Water and The Sun. It was cool to hear Charmer played for the first time live. Can't wait till they come back.
The show was amazing! The only thing was the 4th band, Petal didn't show up because of an emergency and the show started really late. Loose Planes was amazing, their bassist only has one hand! Pity Sex was definitely good as well
Amazing show! I was right in the front and there were lots of stage divers and crowd surfers! It was an overall amazing experience!
