Great show!
by Abe on 7/17/24The Wellmont Theater - MontclairRating: 5 out of 5This was the fourth time I've seen Wild Child. That should say something right away. I have never seen the Doors live, but have watched many live videos of them. Wild Child is as good musically as The Doors ever were. The singer, while no Jim Morrison, is amazing! He's got a voice that is as close to Jim's as I've ever heard. He looks a bit like Jim too. He may not move like Jim, but to me, it's all about the music. The band is extraordinary! Being a drummer myself, I focus a lot on the drumming. The drummer has John Densmore's parts down pat!!!! And that's no small feat!!! Densmore's drumming is like no other. The guitar player and keyboard player are both equally as good. The song selection was great, as always. The sound itself was crystal clear, which makes a big difference when seeing a show. Whether you've ever seen the Doors themselves or not, Wild Child is a must see for any Doors fan or anyone curious about The Doors. The opening act, Memphis Crawl, I've seen three times, all as an opening act for Wild Child. While not my cup of tea, musically were very good. I'm just not crazy about the singer. But that's just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.
