DYING FETUS IN CONCERT:
Death metal mainstay Dying Fetus has been inducing shock and awe with their bludgeoning sound and bone-crunching live shows for more than two decades, and they show no signs of letting up any time soon. The band chose their intentionally offensive name while still just adolescents in the ‘90s, but over the years they’ve become known for a more mature brand of metal thanks to their pointed political lyrics—a unique feature among metal bands. At their live shows the group gives their legions of diehard fans exactly what they want—bloodthirsty growls, scorching slam riffs, blistering blast beats, and insanely heavy breakdowns that rattle the walls of every venue they play. From their face-melting festival performances to their epic headlining sets on the 2016 Metal Alliance Tour, Dying Fetus always unleashes a savage dose of metal mayhem that gets ticket buyers thrashing like there’s no tomorrow.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Dying Fetus was formed in Upper Marlboro, MD in 1991 by singer and guitarist John Gallagher, who has remained the band’s driving force ever since. After cutting their teeth with the demo collections Bathe in Entrails (1993) and Infatuation with Malevolence (1994), the band released their 1996 debut album Purification Through Violence. They followed up with 1998’s Killing on Adrenaline and 2000’s Destroy the Opposition, rising to underground prominence thanks to their decibel-shattering sound and hard-hitting performances on the road. Cult notoriety gave way to commercial success with 2007’s War of Attrition, which peaked at No. 25 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Their next two albums—2009’s Descend into Depravity and 2012’s Reign Supreme—both cracked the Top 5 on that chart, proving that their heavy sound has broad appeal.

All the bands were really good, 6 bands on this tour, different genres of metal, all really good. Even the hardcore metal was good, it was rough for the crowd lol, but they are all engaging and giving you a great performance!
I end up here 2-3 times a year, and it’s always been great. Food and drinks are decently priced, staff is friendly, and the sound is great. There were a couple of medical emergencies, and the staff got people taken care of safely and as quickly as possible.
All the bands were super good and well put together for this kinda tour, Dying Fetus always puts on a great set and sound amazing live. The Venue Templelive at Wichita was super cool, it was my first time going and it was a beautiful building and a great stage and sound in the venue, the staff and security were all nice and on top of their jobs, I'd recommend both the tour and the venue.
Excellent concert, i enjoyed a lot the amazing sound and music
For my first time seeing Dying Fetus play live, it was an awesome show. Six bands played at the Rebel theater in Toronto (May 7th 2025) coincidently "Sean Beasley's birthday of Dying Fetus. The sound mix was clear, Trey's kit was snappy and they turned the volume right up to blistering levels for their headlining set ! YAY !!
EXCELLENT EVENT. Chaos & Carnage 2025 and the bands were amazing. Shoutout to the workers, esp the ones who were in front of the stage. Very hard workers and impressive, dealing with crowd surfers too!
The Venue and sound was great and the bands ripped Extreme Metal from the beginning to the end! Dying Fetus Ruled the Night!
Seriously, don't understand how these guys are so talented. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
Had a good time at the show. Everything seemed a bit more organized than usual. The Van Buren is an amazing venue and it keeps getting better.
