This was my first GS show. I loved it. I likec their originals and honesty was not expecting anything but Dead songs. Great job on the sound that night guys. Vocals were great too...everyone did a great job...big Shout out to The Eyes of the World. You really touched my spirit on that one.

  • Just ok

I love a dead cover band - I am there just to listen to the music and dance! But they went on 90 mins late, took a 40 min set break, and took long breaks between songs - we ended up missing a lot of the show bc we couldn't stay so much later than planned. Too bad.

Great show, perfect sound even up close at the Brooklyn Bowl. Eye watering tribute to Phil to kick off the night and the rest was history. Long live the Shred.

  • Ignore the negative reviews

by Were we even at the same show on 9/17/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Shred shows are always fun! And, if you were lucky enough to see them with CATS, those shows were even better! I can only imagine the negative reviewers had now idea what they were getting into. The descriptions of the show flow were somewhat accurate, but they failed to capture the creativity and awe inspiring smoothness on display by both bands. I was at the Neptune in Seattle, and here is how it went down. Shred opened and after 3 songs entered into one of the coolest transitions I've ever seen. It started with Lay Down Sally>Drums> Then without missing a beat or even a moment of silence, the lights dropped, the stage darkened and the numerous and some enormous disco balls lit up, and we suddenly found ourselves at a CATS show. After 60 minutes or so (can't say exactly, we were having too much fun) the lights slowly returned and Shred came back into Space>Lay Down Sally. Again without missing a beat. It was epic! So, if you have any idea what I'm talking about, you would have loved this show! If you were just expecting a boring Dead cover band at some random bar, I can only image your surprise when you found yourself in a Shred>CATS sandwich.

  • Disappointed

by Jerry on 9/17/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

Love the Neptune theater. Great acoustics and great seating in the balcony. Was confused as to who was Circles and who was Shred. Wanted a more psychedelic experience, not punding drums.

I went for Circles Around the Sun, and wasn't familiar with Grateful Shred, but ended up loving both sets. All around great time. Beers are still too expensive, but the show was great.

Been seeing the Dead for 40 years. First time seeing Grateful Shred. What an amazing time! They are fantastic!!! And seeing them at the Mars, a small venue, which made it even better. Can’t wait to see Grateful Shred again!!!
