About

The Disco Biscuits rose to prominence in the ‘90s by pioneering their own genre: “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and Frank Zappa-influenced jam bands. The quartet of Jon "The Barber" Gutwillig (guitar), Marc Brownstein (bass), Sam Altman (drummer, later replaced by Allen Aucoin) and Aron Magner (keys) met on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1995. One year later, they released their debut album Encephalous Crime. The highly-danceable jam band transitioned from playing frat parties to touring in support of everyone from The Black Crowes to the Jerry Garcia Band. Over the years, The Disco Biscuits have released multiple experimental albums and EPs, and curated the annual Camp Bisco electronic music festival. In July 2023, they embarked on their first West Coast tour in nearly 14 years.

  • Spectacular show

by Kk on 3/6/25The Paramount in concert with Northwell - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits delivered an outstanding performance. Their light and laser show was spectacular. The music was also great and made everybody get up and move. They played for well over 3 hours. A show I won't forget.

  • B4L

by Spacebird on 2/4/25The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

If you like to dance and you like dance music: DO NOT SLEEP ON THE DISCO BISCUITS. They are the hottest band out there right now. And their fans are incredibly kind and respectful and genuinely want each other to have a great time. Sorry if you don't.

Took my brother and his fiancée to see their first show. They loved it, and the lighting was amazing per usual. Love it

  • Pretty good

by Althaea on 2/4/25The Sound - Del MarRating: 3 out of 5

Third time seeing the band. They are more like a live DJ than a jam band , but still pretty fun. Great touring light package. The Venue could use better fill speakers around the perimeter it's gets quiet and muffled on the sides even in full view of the band $20 for parking is it bit ruff for a lot off concert goers, heard complaints about it often. Staff is nice but we heard complaints of overzealous Security Paid seating is great at the Sound but needs to be monitored often throughout the night. Overall we like the venue

  • Stupid fun dance party like no other

by Joneser on 2/3/25The Observatory - Santa AnaRating: 5 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits always bring it. Venue was chill. The security guards were chill, everyone there to have a good time. Awesome that we get to have DB in OC. Can't wait to do it again.

  • Disco Biscuits

    by Nicu2dude on 11/19/24State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Biscuits always slaying but Portland shows seem to go above and beyond what I expect. The energy is top notch and we need more Bisco at the State Theater in Maine!

  • Bisco is back

The disco biscuits are absolutely firing on all cylinders. The boys were bringing the heat thst night. Possibly one of the greatest shows this year.

  • Great Concert, Horrible Drink Prices

by BT on 7/19/24Greenfield Lake Amphitheater - WilmingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The Disco Biscuits sounded great, the crowd's energy was on point, and overall, I had a fun time. It was challenging to find a drink menu with prices, and one bartender didn't provide a clear answer when I asked about costs. I didn't expect to spend roughly $82 for three vodka-lemonades and a Liquid Death (canned water) after taxes and tips. This venue does not provide clear pricing and charges way too much for drinks.

  • a first timer and loved it

great music, great people, great time. if only it hadn't been an outdoors Sunday show with a restricted curfew. It was so dang hot!
