  • Kurt and band were amazing

by To on 6/15/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Thank you to the talented musician for an amazing night of music. Totally unrelated to their show, the Vogel needs to reconsider their ticket prices. I do think on a Friday night the venue should have been way closer to capacity. They cheaper seats in the balcony all sold and the orchestra seating was half empty. They need to do better about making the jazz shows more reasonable and accessible to the already slim community of listeners.

  • An Incredible Show!

by DonM on 6/10/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

These 4 musicians were absolutely astounding with their knowledge and talents on display from start to finish. I woukd highly recommend attendance to anyone who loves vocal jazz and blues guitar.

  • Elling at the Vogel

    by Rxer22 on 6/8/24Rating: 1 out of 5

Well, what can I say. Having high expectations for listening to an excellent vocalist I’ve following for years, my wife and I were very disappointed. Left after the 4th number. Elling started scat singing right out of the box. Annoying! Then proceeded to revert to an R&B rather than a jazz program with him talking through what I think were lyrics. He talked a numbers tune. Didn’t know what the hell that was. It was as though he ran out of material and resorted to perform in a genre he is not suited for. Great if the Vogel was a dance club, but it’s set up like a traditional jazz club. Overall, what we heard sucked! And BTW, the sound engineer at the Vogel needs to be fired. He obviously has little feel for matching volume with venue and the type of music being performed. The stage manager should be the engineer’s ears. He’s apparently hard of hearing. Nice venue, poor use of space.

  • Kurt Elling

by Alfie on 6/6/23District Live - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

From easy booking, mobile tickets to a great venue and awesome gig. We had a great evening out and also got to chat with some of the local folks.

  • Kurt Elling

by Skin on 5/30/23District Live - SavannahRating: 4 out of 5

Great show. Elling is an amazing singer with such a wide vocal range and ability to perform many genres so well. His band was extremely talented in their own right. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. He and the band had everyone on their feet by the end of the show. Only ask would have been for him to play more than 90 minutes. Did not want the show to end!

  • Fun Venue

by Alison on 10/22/21Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 3 out of 5

Kurt was fantastic. The cameras attention to detail and showcasing what we could not see was great. The seating chart online is misleading. I thought I was buying good seats yet we got there and unable to see the stage at all. Now I know where to sit next time but wish the venue did not have so many obstructed seats.

  • Wonderful evening

by OneMowerTime on 10/22/21Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

Such a treat to get the caliber of artists that Jimmy’s offers the Seacoast of NH. Kurt and mates were phenomenal and our first experience and most certainly not our last!

  • The best voice in jazz today.

by Michael on 2/19/19The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara FallsRating: 5 out of 5

I have waited a long time to see Kurt Elling and I was not disappointed. He is one of a kind. Whether singing his own compositions or an arrangement of someone else's song, he has a style all his own.

  • Greatest vocal jazz performer

by Erik on 2/18/19The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara FallsRating: 5 out of 5

Kurt Elling has got to be the greatest vocal jazz performer of our generation. He has Wicked control over his own voice and the band. The Valentine's day-themed show was a kickstarter to a very memorable evening.

  • best concert ever

by Lindasuz on 2/17/19The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara FallsRating: 5 out of 5

We have seen Kurt 7 times but this was by far his best concert. What a talented gifted man with great stage presence and charisma. The musicians were outstanding. A fantastic show.
