About

From serenading the dimly-lit corners of East London pubs to Courting interest from several major record labels, agents, promoters & publishers in a few short months, The Dinner Party have burst forth gloriously into the guitar music renaissance.

Conceived during a wine-stained evening in Brixton, the name embodies a musical and aesthetic ethos of decadence, mystery, spectacle and charm. Finding artistry in the intersection between the beautiful, sublime and grotesque, the band are guided by their favourite Romantic poets and Gothic novelists.

The preceding years of isolation and anxiety have only served to heighten The Dinner Party’s creative appeal as they usher in a new era of unashamed maximalism and untethered euphoria. They cast their net of inspiration across artists and genres, from Kate Bush and David Bowie, glam rock and new wave, to unexpected moments of twelve bar blues, classical overture and heavy synth breakdowns.

Singer Abigail, guitarists Emily and Lizzie, keyboardist Aurora and bassist Georgia weave a fantasy of haunting melodies, explosive choruses, and lyrics that embrace tragedy and triumph in equal measure. At their shows, the band lead audiences through the soaring crescendos and pin-drop silences of the most debaucherous dinner parties, gathering a dedicated and growing company of attendees with every performance.

The band are currently based in London writing, recording, and preparing for their next spectacle.

You are cordially invited.

  • Exceeded Gorgeous Expectations

The entire show was captivating and a whole group experience. The sweet touches of workers handing out water to the front crowd and the loud cheers for the opener Miss Grit!! Beautiful show beyond proportions, lovely ladies, lovely music, lovely messages.

  • Best show in a long time

Every once in a while, a band comes along the shakes the way you see music, and the way you experience music live. The last dinner party was one of those shows for me. Such excitement and raw talent paired with a throwback to glam rock and showmanship made the show one of the best I’ve seen in the last few years. It felt like the rising of some of the best bands to come.

  • One of the best concerts I've ever seen

As the title says, it was an amazing concert. The band was electrifying and I'll definitely attend again if they are back in town!

  • SO. GOOD

by JP on 4/10/24Rating: 5 out of 5

One of the few shows where every moment was my favorite, perfect beginning to end. They brought the swagger, charisma and personality. Abigail’s dancing and working the stage, Emily’s solos, the banter and talk were always funny. Her vocals are better live than studio. Hope for more music and longer shows, that was too short and too quick. One of the better crowds I’ve been in and we all knew the words to every song on the album. I’d see them again in a heartbeat.

Very good performance. The energy on stage was electric. Loved every moment. Look forward to when they release more albums so their concerts run longer!

Unbelievable! One of the best bands I've ever seen live!

  • One of the best in over fifty years of concert-going

by Bill J. from Austin on 4/1/24Scoot Inn - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Finally got to see this incredible band at the Scoot Inn in Austin, Texas. Even though thunderstorms cut short the performance, I am on Cloud 9! Abigail Morris working the crowd was a thing of beauty and a joy to behold. It felt so good, watching the crowd give back all the heart and energy this band was laying down. I was laughing from pure glee at the sight of it! It was a memorable night, and I'll treasure it forever. For the record, I'm almost sixty-eight years old, and I've seen everyone from Jimi Hendrix to Jimmy Dale Gilmore, Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd to P!NK, and this was hands down one of the best performances of my concert-going career. Even better, I got to turn my wife, my niece Grace and her friend Jackie on to some terrific music! Thank you, The Last Dinner Party!
