About

BLEACHERS IN CONCERT:

Indie pop outfit Bleachers is the latest project from Jack Antonoff, the talented singer and songwriter best known for his work with the band Fun. With Bleachers, Antonoff builds on the anthemic pop sound that elevated Fun to superstar status by expanding his palette to include more electronic textures and cutting-edge production techniques. Fun is known for performances that live up to their name, and Antonoff's live show with Bleachers is no different. Ticket buyers will see fan favorites like "I Wanna Get Better" and "Like a River Runs" get the full live treatment as Bleachers hits the road in 2014 for a string of highly anticipated festival appearances.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

New Jersey-born Jack Antonoff began working on his side project Bleachers while on the road with indie superstars Fun in early 2013. For nearly a year he kept the project under wraps until he launched his debut single "I Wanna Get Better" in February 2014. The track peaked at No. 2 on the US Alternative Songs chart, generating significant buzz around the project. Antonoff has stated that he remains fully committed to Fun, and plans to work around that band's schedule as he begins to tour in support of Bleachers. With his debut full-length Strange Desire hitting shelves in 2014, Antonoff has Bleachers fans chomping at the bit to catch him at his upcoming shows.

Fantastic show! Very exiting and energetic show! Would definitely recommend going to one of their shows

  • Bleachers = fantastic, marketing = fraud

by Ry on 10/7/24Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The show was billed as Bleachers and friends, which coupled with being at MSG, made for some extra excitement. Already saw the show at the Philly stop, so the idea of “friends” being there too was enough for us to make a weekend trip out of it. Maybe Bruce for Chinatown, Secret Life or Alma Mater with Lana, maybe Sabrina Carpenter who he produces comes out seeing as she played MSG two days prior. But nothing. Same exact show we saw in Philly with the addition of some set props. They are one of the best live acts I’ve seen and still love them. But the marketing was a fraud and I certainly would not have made a (not cheap at all) weekend trip of the show had I known it would have essentially been the same show we just saw a few weeks back

  • Spectacular!

by Vega Victoria on 9/25/24Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

We walked in just as the show started, and were blown away by the energy, the joy, the vulnerability, presence, and talent of Jack and his band! I loved that he sang songs from different periods of his career, the emotional impact of all the varying moments were strong and beautiful. Loved the quiet moment in the "studio."Loved the honesty, the exuberance, the natural and flowing choreography of movement. Thank you for a vitamin injection, a reminder of being alive, of gratitude! Beautiful music and brilliant songwriting.

I like their music, but loved the concert. What a performance! All 6 of the band members were talented multi-instrumentalists. It was surprising and fun to see. Money well spent!

  • Some of the Best!

    by Em on 9/22/24Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - BerkeleyRating: 5 out of 5

Third time seeing Bleachers. The first time I only knew a few songs but was drawn in to become a fan because of the way the fans sang and danced and the amazing show they put on. Fast forward the Greek is at least twice as big as the last venue we saw them at and it is the first show of this tour- but they brought it. Started right at 8. Finished at 10. Played the hits, left it on the stage and I love that they never bother with an encore. Love a multi-drum kit, multi-saxophone party. Two hours of scream singing and dancing and fun. The best. Hope they return soon.
